New Release @ Polka Dot Plum

Charly of Sunny Day Scraps released a cute Easter themed kit today. Take a look at the kit. It's called Easter Village.

And here's my layout. We don't have Easter Egg Hunting her in my place, only in some villages and malls, but I love making projects like this one. For my daughter's entertainment :)

Summer Turns Fall by Simply Kat Designs

I made another layout here using Simply Kat Designs' Summer Turns Fall papers and Fresh Meadow Kit elements by Beehaven Designs. Here are the previews:

This layout was also my entry for the One Word Challenge for this month @ Polka Dot Plum.

Sweet Valentine by Simply Shayla

I worked with an adorably sweet kit today called Sweet Valentine Kit by Simply Shayla. The kit has 26 papers and 23 elements. The kit is really cool and I think it would be best for hybrid projects like Valentine cards and tags. Check out the kit preview.

Visit Polka Dot Plum to purchase the kit today. And for more layout inspirations, check out the gallery.

Something Old, Something New

Whew! Been busy for the past few days doing lots of layouts for February first deadline, and for some challenges I will be hosting for this month in different forums :) Tired but I'm very happy. At the same time, I'm doing my daughter's 2nd baby book. I still have five months to collect photos and events. By the second week of this February, we'll be out of town to watch the 17th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival. I'm really excited and at the same time I'm feeling  an early exhaustion. Just a week ago we went to this big amusement park here in our place and oh! I was drained so badly that my husband and I weren't productive on the following day. But we had so much fun and lots of photos of course :) So here are some of the layouts I made:

My layout for the Journaling Challenge (Star Light Star Bright) @ Scrapping Fairytales for this February. I used the kit, Time For Tea by Amanda And Millie Designs and template from January Club Enchated Week 4 Template.

Here's my layout for the Facebook Speed Scrap @ SFT, using November Event - Black Friday by SFT Designers.
This is my entry for the February Signature Challenge @ Scrapping Fairytales. I made this using the February Collab - Girl's Night Out by Scraping Fairytales' Designers.

And before the month of January ends, I made this for the Scraplift Challenge @ Polka Dot Plum. I used the kit My Kind Of Autumn by Studio B'naz.

And for the month of Feb., I will be the host for the Scraplift Challenge, so here;s my take using the kit Fall Harvest by Queen Pamedalah.

Ooooooh! I love the font!! I used 2 peas gift and 1949 report for these fonts and I'm loving them both! Oh by the way, I will also be hosting the Lyrics Challenge @ PDP and this is my layout using Cozy Christmas by Sunny day Scraps :)

I also made some layouts for tomorrow (February 1st). I will be posting them tomorrow. So that's all for today. Happy Scrapping!

Realistic Kits

I have always admired those scrappers who are onto realistic kits like Eudora's kits, Leigh Penrod and other designers who make such kits. And One of the scrappers I love so much who's so good at scrapping these kinds is Anika. You know honestly, I'm very new when it comes to scrapping using realistic kits. I mean that all elements are realistic. It's not that I don't like them, I was just thinking that I might not be able to give justice to the kit. But I'd love to try. My very first trial was a kit by Rumki Designs called Thankful. really really cute kit and I got so excited because of its elements and all. Here's the preview and my layout.

And I had the chance to make a layout using a kit by Leigh Penrod called Sweet Memories. I also love the kit because it's pink, for my daughter, and I was able to practice again :) Here's the preview of the kit:

And here's what I was able to make:

On this second layout, I just changed the paper background, moved the positions of the clusters and remove the journaling. I'm planing on making two more layouts so I would be able to post @ the enabling thread of digiscrapaddicts. They require different layouts each day and I have to do this 20 times (unless
I use other means of enabling) hehe!

I think that those scrappers focus on shadows and the amount of shadow for each elements. I hope that I would be able to get used to this kind of kits as well :) Happy scrapping!!
